Inducible tethered CpxP-Affinity molecule
This composite biobrick contains a fusion of MBP misfolder MalE24-1, Cpx system inhibitor CpxP, and an affinity body specific for IgG Fc region. This fusion is controlled by inducible promoter ptac and contains a strong RBS. In the Mantis project of Wageningen iGEM 2017 it was used to create a membrane sensor for presence of antigens in the blood of a patient. This fusion can theoretically bind the IgG Fc region, leading to alleviation of the Cpx suppression by CpxP as it dissociates from the membrane sensor CpxA.
